About
Sharon Marshall's two passions are motorbikes and painting - but never at the same time, yet.
She is a full time professional artist after having had a wide and varied career in many other
fields including psychology and nursing.
Her work is both dynamic and colourful and aims to portray life and movement yet manages to retain an air of mystery. Sharon is currently concentrating on the drama and colour of cityscapes whilst still retaining her interest in the human form.
Some say there is no such thing as "unique" when it comes to art and that individual style is very much a thing of the past. Sharon Marshall has been likened to Jack Vettriano with compositions such as "Waiting" and "Ladies What Lunch, Darling" and it is easy to make such a comparision but it would do both artists a disservice. Of course, there is the intense vibrancy, sharp contrast and reluctance to reveal facial expression which fans of Vettriano will appreciate but Sharon's work shows an appreciation of many more artistic styles.
Sharon now keeps her passions close together with her motorbike in her garage and her art studio in the garage "loft".
